Our usual meeting date was reserved for the annual summer outing when members and friends boarded the coach for a day in Bournemouth. Thankfully the forecast showers did not materialise. Bournemouth has such a variety of things to do that there was something for everyone. The gardens proved popular, as did the shops, the Pine Walk art exhibition and the land train, which travelled along the undercliff path to and from Boscombe. Of course you can't go to the seaside without paddling in the sea or having an ice cream even if you have already dined at an Italian restaurant, a tapas bar or pub. Another enjoyable day with friends.
