Woolavington WI February 16th meeting was a Speed Dating WI Style evening.
After our very enjoyable Burns Supper in January, February's meeting was subscription payment time and Eve our Treasurer was kept very busy writing receipts.
We welcomed two new members and existing members eagerly renewed their membership.
Our short business meeting followed, members were given the good news that the final total of money that had been raised for people affected in Cumbria and Calderdale Floods was £320.
We then went on with the Speed Dating, members getting to know one another better, sitting across from each other, everyone listening intently, along with lots of laughter, quite a lively and loud session, a great evening. Members would have liked more time, but Tea break and Valentine heart biscuits beckoned with time to complete the quiz with a Sweets and Confectionery theme.
Mo and Penny had arrived ready to take us on to the next part - Charades all depicting Romantic Film and Characters, more jollity as members tried to guess each charade, brilliantly performed by Penny and Mo.
