Woolavington WI AGM Evening 16th April 2017
President Teresa opened the evening with the members singing Jerusalem followed by a plan for the evening as it was the Annual AGM.
A resolution regarding proxy votes was voted and passed.
Women Walk the World Event 4 members walked along Maunsell Lock on Saturday 13th May and after having a lovely stroll along the canal enjoyed a welcomed tea/coffee and of course cake. WI members who were unable to take part also made donations towards Associated Women of the World funds
The Summer outing this year will be to Stratford upon Avon Visitors are welcome to join us. Corena is holding a coffee and cake morning at her house on Tuesday 30th May at 10.30am for WI funds.
The AGM was opened and began with Eve – Treasurer giving her report, followed by Corena – Secretary’s report.
Teresa – President gave a report on the past year and thanked everyone for their support.
The Committee for 2017/2018 was elected and Corena resigned as Secretary was replaced by Lesley Dyson agreed to take over the post. Teresa was re elected as President.
After tea/coffee a groups formed to discuss what the members would like to do at their meetings and also what outside activities
they would like to do. Some very good ideas were proposed which will be looked into.
The evening was finished off with a bit of a sing song led by Mo and Penny and a good evening was had by all.
Members were reminded about June meetings Nautical Night.
Once again Mo came up with the Nautical theme ….
Cruising with a photographic tour quiz and Fish & Chips at the Captain's Table
Teresa Hemms President awarded Mo Retford The President's Cup with thanks and appreciation for all her talented input
to the Entertainment Sketches, quizzes and generally making meetings fun.
