MEETING REPORT DECEMBER
The December meeting opened with some sad news for members. A minutes silence was observed in memory of Queenie Sullivan, known locally as Shirley (Tea pot), a long time member of Woolavington WI and ex President. Shirley was much loved and will be sadly missed.
Yvette Staelens entertained with her talk and demonstration of West Country folk songs collected by Cecil Sharpe in the early 20C. After which it was time to indulge in the mouthwatering selection of Christmas party food.
During the evening Father Christmas visited to distribute gifts accompanied by Mrs Christmas who was in charge of the sack!
