WOOLAVINGTON WI MEETING REPORT NOVEMBER 2018
November’s meeting was well attended despite the weather! Our guest speaker Chrissie Cottle was welcomed by members to give us some hints and tips for the forthcoming festive season when wrapping gifts.
Chrissie came armed with a multitude of craft items and things everyone would have at home to show us how to make gift wrapping more personalised, interesting and fun. Alternative paper to wrap presents was suggested such as using an unwanted road atlas or book. Other ideas for the things we all struggle to wrap included printing personalised labels for bottles from the free resources available on the internet, upcycling cardboard boxes and reusing baskets. A number of techniques were demonstrated including alternating paper and wrapping so that little fingers can’t get under the seams to take a sneaky peek!
