WOOLAVINGTON WI MEETING REPORT SEPTEMBER 2018
September’s meeting was very well attended with members Doris and Mo arranging activities around a German theme. The tables were adorned with flowers and flags as well as a number of activity sheets. The evening began with Doris sharing a myriad of facts about Germany, this being followed up by a challenging quiz (we’d helpfully been given some of the answers!) and a ‘Guess Who?’ of notable Germans. We were then taught to polka – with instruction from Michelle and Emma – which, apparently, we did very well! Having worked up an appetite, we were spoilt with German fare including sausage, herring and Black Forest Gateau. Back to school to finish with Mo and Doris teaching us a song to count from one to ten.
