Member's Night ReportWoolavington WI Members Night 18th April 2017
One Night Only …. Woolavington WI members took over the WI.
President Teresa Hemms and the Committee were given the night off. Members took on the officers roles, Cindy Riley President, Erica Barnes Secretary and Barbara Piper Treasurer.
Cindy opened the meeting opened with members singing Jerusalem followed by Dawn Smith presenting the Committee with a lovely Candle and Glass holder with our Initials on the front. Dawn expressed members' appreciation for the work the committee do on their behalf throughout the year. Teresa thanked members for their support and the lovely evening.
A splendid evening, our speaker was Graham Lockley Chair of Polden Villages Neighbourhood Watch who gave an overview of the newly printed Neighbourhood Watch booklet and gave some tips on home and computer safety.
This really useful and well presented booklet has been delivered to every home in the area. It will also be given to any new resident to the village as part of a welcome to the village.
Groups and activities available in the village are also highlighted.
Funding towards printing was given from WP Big Local Woolavington & Puriton Villages Together.
June 20th meeting is a Nautical one - a Cruise on board SS Inspiring Women dine on Fish and Chips at the Captains Table. Mo Retford and Penny Glew are heading up the entertainment.
Come along and join in the fun.
Woolavington WI will give a warm welcome to visitors and new members.
